Job Objective:
Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close of sale. Develops and implements agreed upon sales and marketing plan which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding the customer base and growing business. Builds, develops and works with the sales and support staff for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.
Key Accountabilities:
- Sales (Priority 1. 50% of person’s time)
- Implement, develop, and maintain a marketing plan and sales strategy (Priority 2. 20% of person’s time)
- Develop processes for sales activities (ie. Implement CRM) (Priority 3. 10% of person’s time)
- The remaining 20% of this persons time will be allocated toward miscellaneous company related activities (meetings, paperwork, administration, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the sales of manufacturing services and product development services in the medical device industry.
- Demonstrates technical selling skills and product and service knowledge.
- Develops annual business plan in conjunction with Principals which details activities to follow during the fiscal year.
- Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with business owners and decision makers.
- Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to the customer’s challenges.
- Develops a database of qualified leads through various sales activities including working with referrals, phone conferences, email, direct mail, etc.
- Creates and conducts effective proposal presentations and request for proposal responses that indentify prospects needs, and solutions that answer those needs.
- Responsible for sourcing, developing, and maintaining client relationships and referrals.
- Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.
- Responsible to build, develop and work with sales and support staff.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
