HR GENERALIST

We are looking for a talented individual to join our dynamic and diverse Keystone Solutions Group team located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. We are in search of an experienced Part-Time HR Generalist who will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resource expertise.  This motivated self-starter will be responsible for evaluating employee programs, recommending improvements to employee relations policies and making sure that all employee-related policies in each department align with our goals and established regulations.  The role will also administer benefit packages and process weekly payroll.  The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of the organization by offering guidance on recruitment, terminations, performance management, employee relations and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between personnel and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develops programs to enhance employee relations and offer employee support to each staff member
  • Ensure that the new hire orientation process properly introduces new employees to the corporate culture
  • Deliver compensation and benefit comparison reports to the Leadership Team and makes recommendations to improve current offerings
  • Come up with new ways to measure employee morale and determine methods for improving overall employee satisfaction
  • Act as liaison to outside legal and professional resources to ensure that all employment policies follow current laws and regulations
  • Perform employee onboarding and help plan training and development
  • Facilitate talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Administer compensation and benefit plans
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Process weekly payroll
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines

Requirments

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years' post degree full time experience in a Human Resources position
  • Demonstrated ability to improve employee morale
  • Comprehensive understanding of local, state and federal employment laws
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred
  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, bend and sit for long periods of time.  The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
