A successful Sales Engineer must be capable of working with minimal supervision, have a “can do” attitude, possess creative problem-solving skills and be willing to go above and beyond expectations to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.  This team member should have excellent interpersonal skills, great attention to detail and be highly organized with the ability to multi task with minimum interruption to work progress.

Responsibilities and Activities

  • Provide technical and engineering assistance and direction throughout the business development and client engagement process.
  • Interface with clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to successfully drive new programs.
  • Participate in all business development activities such as trade shows, sales calls, and other events.
  • Create accurate and timely proposals and estimates to source new business opportunities.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3 years minimum experience in medical device sales.
  • Bachelors in an Engineering discipline (except engineering technology degrees).
  • Familiarity with medical device assembly, packaging, and sterilization is required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM system, Salesforce.
  • Comfortable working both independently and in a team setting.
  • Occasional offsite work, such as work from home, is acceptable and encouraged as business conditions allow.
  • Extended hours, including weekends and holidays may be required. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specific experience in contract manufacturing.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform sedentary work with periods of active work that includes pushing, pulling and carrying up to 25 pounds.
  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending at the waist and/or knees.
  • Travel requirements: less than 25% (once COVID travel restrictions are lifted), to customers, suppliers, trade shows, and other needs as required.
